Tuesday, October 23, 2007 - RHYTHMUNITY ENSEMBLE
Performing traditional rhythms, this multi-ethnic percussion group
brings an abundance of instruments from locales such as West Africa,
the Middle East, India and Cuba. Come and enjoy the musical trip with
plenty of student/artist interaction.
Tuesday, November 27, 2007 - HAUSMANN QUARTET
A very energetic young quartet from Boston, bring an engaging program
about music and its emotional content. Through the use of music from
the string quartet repertoire, they explain how emotions are translated
through the music and how these same elements can be found in all
types of music, from pop music to movies.

KENWOOD ACADEMY CONCERT CHOIR
Back by popular demand!!! A program of dynamic choral music with talented
soloists and imaginative choreography. These inspired high school
singers will produce a program of many different styles— classical,
gospel, jazz, and some of today’s tunes too.
Tuesday, January 29, 2008 - SAMUEL DEL REAL’S LATIN
TRIO
In this (piano, bass and percussion) performance, the trio combines
both sound and culture creating an invaluable educational opportunity
for students to explore the influence of Latin American rhythms in
Central and South America, in addition to the popular music enjoyed
in this country.
Tuesday, February 19, 2008 - JAMAICAN ENSEMBLE
This captivating performance will have the audience participating
from the opening chant. The ethnic costumes and unique sound of this
ensemble will give you an opportunity to indulge in a high-energy
musical taste of the Caribbean.

The Band returns to the stage performing works by Miles Davis, Dizzy
Gillespie, Louis Armstrong and more. Don’t miss the opportunity

Their focused dedication to jazz is evident in their highly interactive
and spontaneous versions of both standard material and original compositions.
They embrace jazz traditions and repertoire while infusing the music
