Live Music Now!

Attention! Are you a Chicago Public School teacher, principal, or activities director in a seniors nursing facility? Then we have just the program for you. It’s LIVE MUSIC NOW! And it’s FREE of charge to your organization.

The purpose of Live Music Now! Programs is to bring live music to groups that would ordinarily not be able to experience the joy of attending a live performance.

For more information on our in-school recitals, click on In-School at the top of the page to see the roster of available artists and prep/follow-up materials for each ensemble. To make a booking, click on Forms at the top of the page. You must be located within the City of Chicago.

Live Music Now! concerts in Chicago were inspired by Live Music Now! in Great Britain, the creation of Yehudi Menuhin who advised in the creation of the series here.

Young People’s Concerts at the Chicago Cultural Center and Kenwood Academy:
Available to Chicago Public Schools grades K-6 each month from October through May. For more information, click on Chicago Cultural Center or Kenwood Academy at the top of the page.

Artists-in-Residence Programs:

By the end of the residency, students have gained an understanding of instruments and are able to perform newly taught rhythms and simple techniques.

Live Music Now! for Seniors in Nursing Homes:
